A week into the debate and Romney is already changing his tune. This weekend in South Carolina, Romney said:

If that’s not a form of amnesty, I don’t know what is,” Romney said. “I think we should not call it the ‘Z visa,’ we should call it the ‘A visa’ because it’s amnesty and that’s what it stands for.”

But today in Florida, where he is getting lots of heat for his  pandering flip-flop, he said:

There are some who get involved in whether it is technically amnesty or not, and I’m not really trying to define what is technically amnesty, … but instead just note that it is a form of amnesty

Someone needs to ask this guy what the definition of "is" is. And people need start noticing how he says one thing in South Carolina and another in Florida.

Those are the kinds of answers he has to give because his critics like to split hairs and try to make issues out of nothing…much like the above article does. It just goes to show that there is no real dirt against Romney. It also shows that his critics can’t argue the issues (because they would lose) they can only make lame attacks against him.

I’m constantly amazed by how full of sh*t this guy is. I had high hopes for him, as on paper, he is an attractive candidate. But I continue to search vainly for some sort of moral compass. His blatant flip-flops and inconsistencies almost make John Kerry look consistent. Must be the water up here in Massachusetts.

And if you’re a black Republican I’m Jiminy Cricket, you McCainiac.

Just because I don’t like Mitt doesn’t mean that I support McCain. I’m actually leaning towards Thompson right now. Huckabee is pretty high on my list as well. Part of my problems with Mitt are that I live in Massachusetts and have seen his administration up close and personal. Color me unimpressed.

P.S. I’m not even going to bother to defend my skin color.

Romney continues to vacillate on immigration; tries to pull to the right of McCain « who is willard milton romney? · November 4, 2007 at 1:37 AM

[…] Hence: the more Romney pulls to the right—e.g. on the immigration issue—the more Romney reinforces the impression that he is valueless and unprincipled, that he will do or say anything to win. And herein lies the irony: Romney has vacillated wildly and unpredictably on the issue of immigration. See: Romney backs off immigration by fine parsing […]
